The Pū‘ohe is a Hawaiian bamboo trumpet. Has deep sound somewhat like a conch shell, and like other native instruments, pū‘ohe requires special spirit breath to produce proper sound. Used by ancient Hawaiians to beckon one another from uplands. Today it is used as an instrument to accompany chants. Approximately 12" in length.
